week 9

I visited YouTube and watched a video and also checked out some podcasts. I looked at Overdrive, NetLibrary and Project Gutenburg. I thought that project Gutenburg was the most interesting.

I,m finally finished (I hope). Parts of 23 Things were difficult for me because I'm not as comfortable with the computer as some others are. There was alot of information covered in this program and a great deal of it I knew nothing about. It was good to at least be aware of all of these even if I'm unlikely to use them.

I also want to Thank Amanda W., Jessica, and especially Amanda C. for all their help.

week 8

I looked at the information on word processing. From the Web 2.0 awards list I went to Yelp and Maps.google.com.

week 4

I set up a Bloglines newsreader account. I thought some useful blogs for the library would be BBC News, Quotes of the Day and CNN.

Week 1, Thing 2: 7 1/2 Habits of Lifelong Learners

The easiest thing for me is to teach/mentor other. My most difficult challange is to use technology to my advantage.

Week 7

I did learn alot about wiki's that I didn't know before. It does look like a great way to share information and keep people informed, however if anyone can add their information you don't know how accurate certain facts are.
I also listed an entry to SandBox .

Week 6

#13, 14, and 15
I read the information about tagging and checked out Del.icio.us. I can see how this would really help speed up and organize people who spend a lot of time on the computer. It seems like Library 2.0 gives libraries access to a great deal of information that is always being updated.

Week 5

#10 Online image generator was OK, I did try several of the different choices.
#11 I have enjoyed Library Thing the most so far. I set up an account and added books to my library.
#12 Rollyo I tried a few times, but had difficulty following the directions.
